Advanced heatsink fin structures and materials

  • Increasing heat transfer rate while keeping pressure drop and noise to a minimum
  • Common techniques such as louvre fins or longitudinal vortex generators (LVGs) are often ineffective or even counterproductive at low Reynolds numbers (such as on heatsinks with quiet low-speed fans)
