Computex 2017: Fractal Design

For this year’s Computex show, the guys from Fractal Design focused on their latest case and all-in-one water cooling arrivals, recently introduced on their official web page.

The Focus G series was presented in 3 different colours and the most attractive one is definitely the Red mystic version, which looks just amazing.

The main features of the case are:

  • Physical dimensions of 205x431x450 mm and overall weight of 4.5 kg
  • The case is made of SECC for the main body, plastic for the front panel and large windowed side panel
  • The case is capable to host of up to 7 x expansion slots, 2 x  3.5″ or 2.5″ HDD or SSD bays and 1 x Dedicated 2.5″ SSD bay
  • Fogus G is compatible with ATX, mATX, ITX motherboards, ATX power supply with maximum length of 230mm, CPU cooler with maximum height of 165mm and VGA card with maximum length of 380mm
  • The case also includes up to 6 fan slots:
  1. Front panel: 2 x 120 mm or 2 x 140 mm fans (2 x Silent Series LL 120mm LED fans included)
  2. Rear panel: 1 x 120mm fan which is not included
  3. Top panel: 2 x 120mm fan which are not included
  4. Bottom panel: 1 x 120mm fan which is not included
  • The case has dust filters for the top fans, bottom fan + PSU front fans
  • Fogus G is compatible with water cooling radiators with various dimensions:
  1. Front radiator: 120/240mm or 140/280mm Limitation: 280 requires that the bottom 5.25″ slot is unused
  2. Top radiator: 240mm
  3. Rear radiator: 120mm (max width 120mm)

The next big thing introduced by Fractal Design are the brand new Celsius S24 and Celsius S36 All-In-One water cooling units:

Fractal Design Celsius S24 technical details:

  • Aluminum radiator with dimensions of 284 x 122 x 31 mm
  • Durable metal fittings, G 1/4″ thread
  • 400mm long sleeved low-permeability rubber tubes
  • Water pump with ceramic bearing and shaft delivering of up to >50,000 hours, PWM powered and regulated with operational range of 1950-3150 revolutions per minute with noise level of 20,0 dB(A) and maximum pressure of 1m H2O | 1.45 PSI.
  • Contact plate made of cooper with pre-applied thermal compound with high thermal conductivity
  • The whole loop is cooled by 2 x Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-12 PWM in a row, working at 500-2000 RPM, providing airflow level of 148.8 m3/h | 87.6 CFM, noise level of 32.2 dB(A) and static pressure level of 2.30 mm H2O. The fans are with LLS bearing with >100,000 hours life span

Fractal Design Celsius S36 technical details:

  • Aluminum radiator with dimensions of 403 x 123 x 30 mm
  • Durable metal fittings, G 1/4″ thread
  • 400mm long sleeved low-permeability rubber tubes
  • Water pump with ceramic bearing and shaft delivering of up to >50,000 hours, PWM powered and regulated with operational range of 1950-3150 revolutions per minute with noise level of 20,0 dB(A) and maximum pressure of 1m H2O | 1.45 PSI.
