Enermax Thormax Giant

With a very futuristic looks and quite large interior space, Thormax is not for those who want compact, sleek cases. This huge case is made from steel with plastic used for the visual elements and has dimensions of (D) 546 x (W) 264 x (H) 557 mm, however no information about the weight is mentioned, but don’t expect it to be on the light side, even when empty. This full-tower case supports motherboard sizes of E-ATX, ATX and Micro-ATX as well as the standard ATX power supply. Both inside and out the case is painted in black and this is the only version that can be purchased.

On the left side panel there is an acrylic window with a non-standard shape and form just to add more points to the visual appeal of Thormax GT.

 Components of the most demanding nature can be placed inside the spacious interior, where you can utilize 9 expansion slots, four 5.25″ drive bays, six 3.5″ drive bays (1 x 3.5” converted from 5.25” adapter) as well as eight 2.5″ bays (5 converted from 5 x 3.5”;
2 converted from 5.25” adapter; 1 behind M/B panel). From the photos we can clearly see the included rubber grommets, which are always a nice touch to a chassis and a large CPU cutout for easy CPU cooler installation/removal.

With such a case and the possible components inside there stands the question of cooling and Thormax has been prepared from the factory for both scenarios, and it’s prepared well. It comes pre-installed with 3 fans out of the box. Located on the front I/O panel, there sits the integrated fan controller to help you optimize the noise/airflow ratio with a simple click.

  • Front: 1 x 180 / 200mm (1 x 180mm Vegas Blue LED fan pre-installed)
  • Rear: 1 x 120 / 140mm (1 x 120mm Twister Bearing fan pre-installed)
  • Top: 3 x 120mm / 2 x 140mm / 1 x 180mm / 1 x 200mm (optional)
  • Left Acrylic window: 1 x 180 / 200mm (1 x 180mm Vegas Blue LED fan pre-installed)
  • Bottom: 2 x 120mm (optional)

As far as the liquid cooling is concerned we have support for quite an ample radiator setup:

  • Top: 240 / 280 / 360mm liquid cooler (60mm clearance)
  • Bottom: 120 / 240mm liquid cooler (60mm clearance)

Lastly, on the front I/O panel you will find two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports,  HD Audio jacks and an LED light controller for the illuminated included fans.
