Fractal Design introduced Dynamic X2 Fans

Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-12 and GP-14 are models made to be true all-purpose fans, delivering good airflow and really long life span of up to 100,000 hours thanks to the latest LLS bearing.

Designed together with the high-end Venturi Series, the Dynamic X2 Series fans feature aerodynamic elements, similarly found in airplane wing designs, with significant noise-reducing elements.

Both of the models are available in two colour schemes which are pure black, or the typical Fractal Design signature color scheme with the white blades and black frames.

Dynamic X2 GP-12

Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-12 is an all-purpose fan with dimensions of 120 x 120 x 25mm and weight of 119 grams, made of square plastic frame in black, featuring aerodynamically shaped stator struts including a wire strut, which sit on a wide angle to the trailing edge of the blades which result in a lower noise level and smoother noise profile.

The fan itself is equipped with a geometry optimized for a good balance between static pressure and maximum airflow fan blades forming the white or black propeller delivering good performance in all usage scenarios. Also the strategically placed notches near the fan hub on the trailing edge of the blades are made to further reduce the humming noise produced when the blades pass the stator struts. In addition the fan is designed with a “trip wire” on the rear side of the blades near the leading edge, which introduces a larger turbulent boundary layer at an earlier stage, this delays the layer separation and improves both airflow and noise characteristics.

The connection between the frame and the propeller is done by LLS bearing equipped with a counter-pull magnet that reduces the axial tension on the bearing, which is meant to deliver up to 100000 hours constant operation. The fan is powered and regulated by 500mm long black ribbon cable and 3Pin connector.

With this structure the fan is capable to operate at 1200 revolutions per minute, providing airflow level of 52.3CFM, static pressure level of 0.88 mm H2O with noise level of 19.4dBa.

Dynamic X2 GP-14

And being part of the series the Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 offers absolutely identical according to the GP-12 model structure and the actual differences are the dimensions of the fan, which are 140 x 140 x 25mm and weight of 142 grams.

The bigger brother in the series is capable to operate at 1000 revolutions per minute, providing airflow level of 68.4CFM, static pressure level of 0.71 mm H2O with noise level of 18.9dBa.
