Phantom 240 is presented to us in all white paint, where the mesh, going from the front to top panel is black, giving a good contrast and the case looks classy, even more classy with the windowed side panel. The chassis is made from steel, plastic panels and is in the medium tower range, with dimensions of 195 x 530 x 529 mm and weight of 8.1kg, fitting ATX, MICRO-ATX and MINI-ITX motherboards and seven expansion slots. In the drive bays there is room for three 5.25″ drives and six 3.5″/2.5″ drives. The 240 has been designed with removable HDD cage to accommodate larger GPU’s, actually up to 400mm, when the cage is removed and 290mm when it is present.
CPU cooler with up to 158mm in height may be installed with no hassle and as always NZXT has left enough room for easy cable management – 17mm behind the motherboard tray. From the photos we notice the lack of rubber grommets, but for the price point of this case it is rather expected.
As for cooling Phantom 240 offers moderate cooling out of the box, two fans are included with the case, which are actually a new revision of the case fans NZXT usually offers.
