Cryorig Taku Monitor Stand ITX Case

Cryorig made their first attempt at funding this project 2 years ago, but unfortunately fell short of their initial goal. Furthermore losing their confidence on this case. Nonetheless their idea was good and the computer enthusiast community where quick to approve of this and depending on the circumstances, they helped Cryorig advertise and ”hype” the rest of the media. With the positive feedback they received from this campaign Cryorig was convinced this was a good project. So they went on to present it. Once in Computex 2015 and another time in Computex 2016. These two presentations were a success and for that reason they announced it would be going on sale in the latter par of 2017. Moreover the case is currently available for pre-order, however shipping to the following countries: USA, Japan and Taiwan will start as of the 5th of December and global shipping will commence by 2018.

-Also this case will be retailing at 299USD(pre-order here: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4UF6HJ9814&ignorebbr=1 )

Looks very interesting as a concept, but.. quite some buts..:

    – white stand for mostly black monitors.. not good. When we throw in the equation the wooden stands – it goes bad.
    – the grills are to be closed by the monitor stand.. they most probably thought about it, but still is something worrying.
    – I have seen quite some stands (audio card external panels).. all they were scratched. They must have used a very good coating.

Anyway.. a nice start of a series. 🙂

Hello PepiX, i agree with what you’re saying. At first I also thought to myself what happens with the airflow?. Now I have come to the conclusion that most of the air needed, enters from the side grills and then exits from the back. Also regarding what you said about the black monitors. Cryorig has a second black model to this, but there is no info on its availability. (ill make sure to add it in the pics) So you have the option to put a white monitor on there. However i haven’t seen many colourful monitors, so i believe this wont be a problem for many. Oh and before i finish, i have another ‘but’ to add. Whats up with the price? I know these kind of cases are mostly expensive, because of design and materials. But this particular case isn’t made from Titanium or Gold, so I cease to understand the need for 300 USD. Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read my article and comment on our website. Any other questions or in this case opinions are welcome. Have a great day!
