Computex 2018: Cryorig

Just before the start of Computex 2018, Cryorig introduced their main focus for this year’s exhibition, aka Crona 120 RGB Fan, Frostbit, C7 RGB and H7 Ultra RGB CPU coolers. The products are already there on their booth accessible for everybody who wishes to check out the new features.

Cryorig Crona 120 RGB

Cryorig Crona 120 RGB Fan is a product entirely different from the typical square or round frames fans delivering unconventional single sided fan frame design in exchange for an unobstructed fully circular lighting area. The fan itself is capable to deliver a strong 3D lighting effect, which can be controlled by the delivered with the fan Crona 120 Controller and Remote. The controller itself supports on the fly switching between 14 speed and color adjustable lighting effects. The Crona 120 Controller supports both 12v and 5v addressable inputs, making it compatible with almost all RGB enabled main boards. It can also work as a stand-alone RGB controller.

The fan is with dimensions of 120 mm x 25.4 mm and is rated to operate at 400 ~ 1700 ±10 % revolutions per minute range, delivering maximum airflow level of 60.6 CFM, static pressure level of 2.65 mmH2O with noise level range of 16.5 ~ 29.7  dBA.

Cryorig H7 Ultra RGB

Regarding the award wining H7 CPU cooler, Cryorig definitely pushed themselves and provided a new model with both performance and visual improvements bearing the name H7 Ultra RGB. The cooler itself is boosted with additional 4th aluminum heat pipe to improve the overall cooling capabilities, RGB capable top heat sink cover and Crona 120 RGB fan, which makes the model the first fully RGB lighted tower heat sink in the company’s portfolio.

H7 Ultra RGB is also delivered with Crona 120 controller and remote for adjustable speed/color lighting effects, supporting both the top cover and the fan, while also support controls via 12v or 5v addressable inputs from the main board.

The overall dimensions of the product including the fan are 98(D) mm x 123(W) mm x 145(H) mm and weight of 713 grams. The structure of the cooler consists of:

  1. C1100 Pure copper nickel coated contact plate
  2. 4 pieces of 6mm in diameter heat pipes
  3. 40 pieces of 0.4 mm thick with 2.2 mm gap identical fins

The cooler is with maximum TPD of 160W and is compatible with processors working on Intel LGA2011(-3), LGA115X and AMD FM1, FM2/+, AM2/+, AM3/+ and AM4 sockets.

Cryorig Frostbit

Even though Cryorig Frostbit does not feature any lightning effects, it is still quite a unique product and overall is the first aftermarket M.2 cooler delivering heat pipe technology. The cooler is equipped with dual stacked heat pipes working together to form a massive heat dissipation surface. First, the ultra thin horizontal heat pipe spreads heat from components into the Primary Heat Spreader and then the secondary vertical heat pipe is then attached to draw heat further into a large volume heat sink.

In addition, the top heat sink’s angle can be manually tilted to either side to avoid interference with the surrounding components such as GPU or a large CPU cooler.

The dimensions of the cooler are 72(D) mm x 26.3(W) mm x 57(H) mm and weight of 56 grams reaching maximum TDP of 12W.

The structure of the cooler features:

  1. 1+1 pieces of 6mm in diameter heatpipes
  2. 19 x 2  pieces of 0.4 mm thick with 2.4 mm gap fins

Cryorig C7 RGB

And last but not least, the small form factor cooler focused for mini ITX systems, aka Cryorig C7, was upgraded with a 12V RGB fan. The new arrival in the company portfolio C7 RGB will definitely be the lighting center piece of any ITX build with its top-flow operation and facing the side panel.

The C7 RGB lighting system is realized on standard 12v RGB LEDs integrated inside its 92mm PWM fan. To power the fan and its lightning effects just connect it to the Fan RGB header into either a 12v RGB port on the motherboard or any 12v RGB controller. The fan itself is capable to operate with all major 12v RGB controllers and motherboards.

The overall dimensions of the product including the fan are 97(D) mm x 97(W) mm x 47(H) mm  and weight of 357 g grams with maximum TDP of 100W. The structure of the cooler features:

  1. C1100 Pure copper nickel coated contact plate
  2. 4 pieces of 6mm in diameter heatpipes
  3. 57 pieces of 0.4 mm thick with 1.2 mm gap fins

The cooling of the heat sink is done by a 92 mm x 15 mm fan working at 600 ~ 2500 ±10 % revolutions per minute range, delivering static pressure level of 2.8 mmH2O, airflow level of 40.5 CFM with maximum noise level of 30 dBA.

In addition, there is an official short video demonstrating the visual effects of the latest products from Cryorig.
