The new 140mm models feature Noctua’s novel AAO frames as well as the series’ signature Flow Acceleration Channels for reduced boundary layer separation and improved aerodynamic efficiency. Reference class SSO2 bearing and 6 years manufacturer’s warranty make the NF-A15 and NF-A14 a stand-out choice for all noise-sensitive 140mm applications.
The NF-A15 is a 140mm fan with a round frame, which features 120mm mounting holes (105mm spacing) and has been enlarged to 150mm width in order to provide superior performance on today’s high-end CPU coolers. The model features Noctua’s custom designed PWM IC for fully automatic speed control and comes with Low-Noise Adaptor for all noise-sensitive users.
The NF-A14 FLX and ULN are 140mm fans with a square frame with 140mm mounting holes (124.5mm spacing). According to Noctua these fans are ideal for use on watercooling radiators or as an upgrade for 140mm case fans. The FLX version provides 1200/1050/900rpm speed settings via the supplied Low-Noise Adaptors in order to provide full flexibility in fine-tuning the fan for maximum ventilation performance or near-silent operation. The ULN version provides super-slow 800/650rpm speed settings for ultra-low-noise applications.
