The new DX-3647 line coolers are dedicated, customized solutions for Intel’s professional LGA3647 platform, which makes them an ideal fit for both Skylake-SP-based Xeon Scalable CPUs (Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze, Purley series) and Xeon-Phi processors (code names Knight’s Landing or Knight’s Mill).
Noctua NH-U14S DX-3647
NH-U14S DX-3647 itself is based on the NH-U14s single tower cooler with some major improvements featuring a much bigger and dedicated for DX-3647 socket copper contact plate with dimensions of 70x56mm connected together with the copper heatpipes, transferring the heat to the aluminum fins stack for dispersion. At 70x56mm, the heatsinks’ copper contact surface is more than double the size of the standard model. Tailored to fit the enormous integrated heat-spreaders (IHS) of Intel’s LGA3647-based processors, this customized design allows an optimal heat flow from the CPU over the base to the heatpipes and on to the cooling fins. All of the components are soldiered together and nicely finished with nickel coating.
The cooler itself is with dimensions of 165(H) x 150(W) x 78(D) mm and weight of 957 g including the fan and is cooled by Noctua NF-A15 PWM working at 1500 +/- 10% revolutions per minute range with maximum airflow level of 140,2 m³/h at noise level of 24,6 dB(A) with MTTF of 150.000 hours.
Noctua NH-U12S DX-3647
The next model, aka NH-U12S DX-3647 itself is based on the smaller, NH-U12s single tower cooler with the same additions needed for DX-3647 sockets offering a much bigger and dedicated for DX-3647 socket copper contact plate with dimensions of 70x56mm connected together with the copper heatpipes, transferring the heat to the aluminum fins stack for dispersion. And since this is Noctua all of the components are soldiered together and nicely finished with nickel coating.
The cooler itself is with dimensions of 158(H) x 125(W) x 97(D) mm and weight of 1018 g including the two Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans working at 2000 +/- 10% revolutions per minute range with maximum airflow level of 102.1 m³/h at noise level of 22.6 dB(A) with MTTF of 150.000 hours.
Both of the models are ideal solutions for tower-style cases and thus lend themselves to use in high-performance quiet workstations, while the smaller NH-D9 DX-3647 4U is the perfect solution for 4U class rack-mount servers that need to run as quietly as possible.
Noctua NH-D9 DX-3647
NH-D9 DX-3647 itself is based on the smaller, NH-D9L twin tower cooler with the same additions needed for DX-3647 sockets offering a much bigger and dedicated for DX-3647 socket copper contact plate with dimensions of 70x56mm connected together with the copper heatpipes, transferring the heat to the aluminum fins stacks for dispersion. And since this is Noctua all of the components are soldiered together and nicely finished with nickel coating.
The cooler itself is with dimensions of 134(H) x 95(W) x 120(D) mm and weight of 769 g including the two Noctua NF-A9 HS-PWM fans working at 2500 +/- 10% revolutions per minute range with maximum airflow level of 96.3 m³/h at noise level of 30.6 dB(A) with MTTF of 150.000 hours.
Keep in mind that all 3 models are dedicated versions for the Intel LGA3647 socket. Due to their customized larger base, they cannot be used on any other sockets and are incompatible with Noctua’s standard mounting kits. For that reason all of the coolers are provided with dedicated SecuFirm2™ for LGA3647 with square and narrow type brackets.
All of the coolers are with 6 years warranty and the suggested retail prices are:
1. NH-U14S DX-3647: 89.90 EUR/USD
2. NH-U12S DX-3647: 99.90 EUR/USD
3. NH-D9 DX-3647 4U: 89.90 EUR/USD
