be quiet! is also stepping into the ever so competitive game of closed loop AIO water cooling solutions aimed at the CPUs, and they’ve just announced their new Silent Loop series comprised of three very slick and reliable units. Coming in with 120mm, 240mm and 280mm water cooling radiators – they are here to impress both with silent operation and excellent be quiet! build quality.
Main feature of the cooler set is reverse-flow pump that is designed to gather liquid from a separate flow channel within the water block. Another channel is used to guide the hot liquid through the tubes and radiator. This method allows for quieter operation and overall less vibrations of the pump. Spinning at 2200 RPM is a great way to make some noise, however it is claimed that this one should be quieter than the competition.
Silent Loop 120mm
Physical dimension of the smallest coolers out of these three are 153mm x 128mm x 95mm and weight measures at 1.28 kg, which is impressive. Accent color is black with just a whiff of orange in the usual company logo. Radiator size measures at 153mm x 128mm x 45mm, made of copper and and black spray painted. Contact plate is copper one, dark nickel plated. This model has a TDP of 270 Watts.
Brushed pattern is used on the water block cover and springs to protect the thick, flexible rubber tubes. Fans used in this assembly are with frame size of 120mm x 120mm x 25mm, Pure Wings 2 PWM fans, so those are of excellent quality. Noise level at 2000 RPM, which is the maximum possible is measured at 36.9 dBA. Air flow level is 111.3 m3/h and 2.23 (mm / H2O) of air pressure. Fan RPMs are PWM controlled, which is a great feature to have. Rifle bearing is responsible for quiet and steady operation of the propeller, along with 80 000 MTBF.
Silent Loop 240mm
Moving forward, Silent Lopp 240mm has a 240mm slim radiator, coupled with 2 fans as well. Physical dimensions of this bigger brother are 277mm x 124m x 55mm for the entire assembly and 277mm x 124mm x 30mm for the radiator itself.
Different from the 120mm version, this one has TDP of 350 Watts and weighs in 1.35 kg. other parts and specifications remain the same.
Silent Loop 280mm
Out of all three this is the biggest, bulkiest and most performing piece, coming in at 319mm x 144mm x 55mm unit dimensions and 1.57 kg of weight. Dimensions of the copper radiator here are 319mm x 144mm x 30mm. TDP is increased to the beastly 400 Watts.
Similar to its siblings, Silent Loop 280mm shares the same paint and design language. Fan specifications are Pure Wings 2 fans, 140mm ones, fan frame 140mm x 140mm x 25mm and again PWM control. Maximum speed is 1600 RPM delivering 160 m3/h, 37.3 dBA of noise level and 1.82 mm H20 of air pressure. Other fan specifications remain the same.
